I’m gonna let you in on a little something here: my life is FULL of change. Every single day I get face-to-face with the scary change monster and have to deal with it head on. Some of this might sound familiar to you:
It snowed overnight. Gotta add 10 minutes to the morning routine so I can warm up/de-snow the car.
The baby can pull herself up easily. Time to clear those breakables off of the coffee table.
They closed my favorite coffee drive thru right by the house. Making coffee at home today!
I want to send an automatic email to my subscribers every week but my email management system doesn’t allow that on the free plan. Guess I need to pay or look into my options with other tools.
You get the idea. Change is everywhere in our day to day lives, and our businesses are no exception. But here’s the rub – just a few months ago, when I was confronted with change I balked at it in a BIG way. I dug my heels in and screamed “I don’t wanna!” Then I pulled myself together and remembered this:
My game? Connect smart people with simple tools to make business more enjoyable.
But I was focused on the ball (moving from a focus on long-term client relationships to focusing on fun tutorials and actionable lessons) instead of the game. I was trying to play soccer with a golf ball and it was REALLY hard.
When I got clear on the game, I recorded and pulled Systems Finishing School together in the space of two weeks. Shortly after that I made space for more Business Boosters (by letting go of those long-term clients) and those spaces filled right up.
And now the game is fun. It’s no longer about the nitty gritty but the big picture. And I’m bringing that to you.
If you missed it a few weeks ago, I shared 3 simple steps to banish overwhelm – the first part of focusing on the game. You can still grab the 20 minute audio and the workbook right here.
So now the question is, what’s your game? Tell me in the comments below. Bonus points if you tell me about that ball you’ve been chasing AND what game you are committed to focusing on from here on out.
