when you wake up and your bones ache and you
basically never want to get out of bed and you have no
reason why you feel this way but you just do and it’s
probably never going to end and you’re going to die like
this in your pajamas all curled up in a ball?
Yeah, you’re not alone.
See, sometimes (and I really mean sometimes – like once or twice a year, max) you’ve gotta embrace the suck and be with it. And then the beautiful Universe sends you magical messages* of other people embracing the suck and then you don’t feel so alone! And then you wake up the next day and you’re ready to rock it out! YES. Look, owning your own business/being a kick ass momma/managing a team of peeps/etc. can take it out of you sometimes. Now, sometimes you have to dig deep and freakin’ RALLY. And sometimes you have to make a hot chocolate and play with your dog and ZONE. I could sit here and tell you how to choose, but I think you’re smart enough to know for yourself. (Like, actually know and not tell yourself it’s okay to wallow when it’s most certainly not, m’kay?)
The big picture is this:
You’ve got to be okay with letting the little things go.
Powering down for a bit gives you a better recharge than going at full force 100% of the time.
Take care of yourself so you can take care of others, period.
